Senior Staff Business Systems Analyst (Full-Stack / AI & Automation Focus)

Category Information Technology Location Bangalore, India Job ID 19166

Company Overview

Intuit is the global financial technology platform that powers prosperity for the people and communities we serve. With approximately 100 million customers worldwide using products such as TurboTax, Credit Karma, QuickBooks, and Mailchimp, we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to prosper. We never stop working to find new, innovative ways to make that possible.

Job Overview

The Finance Modern Technology Office is seeking a Business Systems Analyst who is, in practice, a full-stack software engineer with strong experience in automation, AI, and enterprise-grade system design.

In this role, you will document, improve, and automate business processes; design and build internal tools; integrate LLMs and AI-driven automation into day-to-day workflows; and explore emerging technologies to increase productivity across Finance and the broader company.

This is a highly hands-on, builder-oriented role. You will work directly with stakeholders to understand problems, architect solutions, and independently deliver high-quality systems end-to-end. The ideal candidate has a startup mindset, broad technical range, and deep proficiency in modern web development and automation.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Finance stakeholders to understand business processes, pain points, and automation opportunities
  • Architect, develop, and maintain full-stack internal tools and applications (from backend systems to polished front-end interfaces)
  • Build and optimize APIs, workflows, and integrations across internal and external systems
  • Design, implement, and monitor LLM- or GenAI-driven automation (prompting, API integration, evaluation frameworks)
  • Apply best practices in software engineering, including code quality, observability, automated testing, version control, and CI/CD
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to roadmap development
  • Own systems from concept to deployment: including architecture, development, documentation, rollout, and post-launch support
  • Ensure reliability, scalability, and security standards appropriate for enterprise environments
  • Collaborate with the broader Modern Technology Office to evaluate and implement cutting-edge technologies

Qualifications

  • 5+ years front-end development experience (ReactJS, TypeScript, HTML, CSS)

  • 5+ years backend development experience (Python), ideally including FastAPI and Pydantic

  • 3+ years working with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred)

  • 3+ years of experience with AWS including S3, SQS, Lambda, RDS, and EC2

  • 1+ years working with LLMs / GenAI, including prompting, building with LLM provider APIs, or integrating AI into products

  • Experience developing, deploying, and maintaining software in an enterprise-scale environment

  • Strong familiarity with business process automation, workflow automation, or operations tooling

  • Proven ability to architect systems end-to-end and work independently in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment

  • Strong understanding of API design, caching strategies, rate limiting, and performance considerations

  • Experience writing automated tests and applying software engineering best practices

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, preferably Jenkins

  • Comfortable in Agile/Scrum or similar development environments

  • Understanding of secure coding practices, data governance, and compliance considerations in enterprise environments.

  • Strong knowledge of Linux and other UNIX-like environments, including proficiency with command-line

  • Familiarity with cloud networking concepts (VPCs, subnets, security groups, routing)

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience building and deploying containers (Docker, Kubernetes)

  • Familiarity with event-driven architectures, SSE, websockets, and real-time systems

  • Experience with agentic AI systems, workflow orchestration, or tool-using AI agents

  • Experience with infra-as-code (Terraform/CDK)

  • Experience with logging, metrics, and monitoring tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Grafana, OpenTelemetry).

  • Understanding of AWS networking and security primitives (VPC, subnets, NACLs, security groups, IAM roles/policies)

  • Understanding of or experience with automation tools like UiPath, Alteryx, Workato, N8n

  • Ability to translate ambiguous business requirements into technical specifications and system designs.

  • Ability to identify opportunities, propose solutions, and drive product direction for internal tools.
