Job Overview
Join the Small Business Group (SBG) AI team as a Staff Product Manager. Our mission is to power prosperity for small/mid-sized businesses, self-employed, and accountants by building cohesive agentic AI experiences—wherever and however they work.
You will be focused on delivering the next generation of conversational AI interfaces. You will own the delivery of foundational "table stakes" experiences that define how customers interact with our agentic ecosystem in a natural language conversation. You will directly partner with engineers and designers to experiment and launch experiences that serve small and mid-market businesses with emerging AI technologies, and scale these to teams across the ecosystem.
Responsibilities
Rapid delivery:Lead a cross-functional team of product developers, data scientists, marketers, data analysts, and experience designers to innovate, experiment, and create AI experiences to deliver step-change customer benefit and QuickBooks customer growth.
E2E Experience Ownership: Design high-quality E2E product experiences for customers that can solve across multiple teams and use cases.
- Strategic Roadmapping: Create strategies and roadmaps based on data to inform the product and platform investments we need to take our products to the next level.
- Organizational Influence: Consult with teams across the organization to elevate end to end customer experience; provide regular feedback and build data backed principles through rapid testing.
Qualifications
Proven PM Experience: 5+ years of experience in product management, with a track record of delivering complex user-facing features from concept to launch. You have specific expertise in building AI-native workflows leveraging generative AI, and ideally, the small business or mid-market space.
Conversational AI Depth: Deep understanding of LLM-based interfaces, prompt engineering, and the unique UX challenges of generative AI (e.g. latency, hallucinations, customer trust).
Customer obsession: Skilled at gathering insights from customers, identifying and testing opportunities, and synthesizing results.
Systems Thinker: Ability to think beyond a single feature to build reusable systems that serve many teams.
Technical and design acumen: Experience partnering closely with product development and design teams to facilitate trade-offs between customer experience and technical feasibility. Frequently leads with a perspective on what makes a great customer experience.
Structured Problem Solver: Ability to use data and structured analysis to solve complex challenges and refine product approaches based on new insights.
AI-First Execution: Leverage LLMs and AI-augmented prototyping to rapidly iterate on UI designs, perform data analysis, and accelerate cross-functional delivery.
Undergraduate or graduate degree in data science, computer science, math or statistics, or a related discipline; other degrees or equivalent professional experience will be considered.
