Job Overview
The Manager, Web Operations is a key, independent contributor responsible for the web operational management of the Digital Front Door. This role focuses on driving operational efficiencies, process excellence, and complex web experience execution to deliver exceptional website experiences for customers and strong business results in a high-performing, fast-paced environment. Success requires collaboration across marketing partners, product, engineering, design and creative teams. This opportunity is ideal for self-motivated individuals with high attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities
Web Experience Development: Independently build, execute, and troubleshoot web experiences within a Content Management System (CMS), utilizing existing components or custom code (CSS, HTML, JavaScript).
A/B Testing & Personalization: Execute A/B and multivariate tests, and create personalized web experiences in a proprietary content platform, ensuring correct setup, traffic split, and manual validation through peer reviews, particularly during peak periods.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Marketing Managers, Product Managers, Design, and Engineering teams to define, manage, and execute the delivery of marketing content and web experiences.
Process & Efficiency: Actively manage multiple, deadline-sensitive priorities, support quality control activities (e.g., content and test setup validation), and proactively suggest and implement improvements to tools and processes to increase efficiencies and experimentation velocity.
Site Maintenance: Troubleshoot and fix site issues and incorrect content data as needed. High attention to detail with a quality-driven mindset is critical.
Stakeholder Management: Cultivate strong relationships with internal partners and stakeholders, managing component usage and requirements.
Technical Execution: Serve as a technical independent contributor, including executing in-product web experiences. Provide craft skills coaching to peers on an as-needed basis.
Own Technical SEO Implementation
Implement and maintain technical SEO, performance, structured data, and semantic standards across CMS templates and web experiences.Enable AI & Generative Search Readiness
Optimize content delivery, templates, and crawler access to ensure accurate AI extraction, citation, and visibility in LLM-driven search.Govern Change & Protect Discoverability
Evaluate platform changes, validate releases, monitor impact, and act as an early warning signal for risks to SEO and AI search outcomes.
Qualifications
3+ years of hands-on experience in front-end development, web production, or web operations, specifically building web pages using a Content Management System (CMS).
Demonstrated experience developing and managing web pages utilizing CMS, JavaScript, CSS and HTML.
Proven experience setting up and managing A/B tests for multiple variants, and building personalized experiences for multiple audiences.
Strong knowledge of UX, SEO, GEO, and other factors that influence web conversions.
Exceptional ability to manage multiple priorities, multi-task, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
Flexible, agile mindset with the ability to adapt quickly and be effective in new situations.
Excellent ability to work cross-functionally with departments such as product management, engineering, marketing strategy, and UX teams.
Experience interacting with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into web page experiences.
Full-Stack Technical SEO & GEO: expertise in traditional SEO (crawlability, indexation, Core Web Vitals) and emerging Generative Engine Optimization (LLM consumption, answer engine extraction, and AI citation).
Semantic & Machine-Readable Architecture: Expert knowledge of Schema.org, semantic HTML, and structured data principles used to bridge the gap between human users and AI consumers.
Platform & Bot Governance: Ability to translate SEO and AI requirements into scalable CMS architectures URL management, and the strategic "gating" of AI crawlers (e.g., GPTBot) to balance brand visibility with server performance
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, marketing, business, or a relevant field of study is preferred.
