Staff Product Manager — Mobile Development Platform

Category Product Management Location Bangalore, India Job ID 21411

Company Overview

Intuit is the global financial technology platform that powers prosperity for the people and communities we serve. With approximately 100 million customers worldwide using products such as TurboTax, Credit Karma, QuickBooks, and Mailchimp, we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to prosper. We never stop working to find new, innovative ways to make that possible.

Job Overview

We are looking for a Staff Product Manager to lead product strategy and execution for our Mobile Development Platform. In this high-impact role, you will define the vision, roadmap, and success metrics for the internal mobile tooling ecosystem that empowers engineering teams across the organization to build world-class mobile experiences at scale.

A core part of this role is deep, continuous customer engagement — you will spend significant time with mobile developers, end users, and cross-functional partners to surface unmet needs and translate them into platform investments that create measurable impact. You will also be at the forefront of AI-powered innovation, leveraging AI agent tools and driving the design and delivery of agentic experiences that transform how developers build and how customers interact with our mobile products.

You will partner closely with engineering, design, and business stakeholders to identify developer pain points, prioritize impactful investments, and deliver UX platform capabilities that accelerate mobile product velocity. This is a senior individual contributor role with significant organizational influence and visibility.

Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Vision

  • Define and own the quarterly, half-yearly, annual and multi-year roadmap for the Mobile Development Platform, aligning it with company-wide engineering and product goals.

  • Translate developer needs and business objectives into a clear platform vision and a prioritized backlog.

  • Identify opportunities to improve mobile developer experience, build velocity, and app quality through tooling, automation, and frameworks.

Execution & Delivery

  • Partner with engineering leads to plan and deliver platform features across CI/CD, build systems, testing infrastructure, and SDK tooling.

  • Drive agile ceremonies, manage sprint priorities, and remove blockers to ensure on-time delivery of roadmap commitments.

  • Define OKRs, KPIs, and success metrics for platform initiatives and communicate progress to senior leadership.

Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact for geo-distributed mobile engineering teams consuming the platform; gather feedback and champion developer needs.

  • Build strong partnerships with product managers, tech leads, QA, security, and release engineering teams.

  • Present strategy, progress, and trade-offs to senior technical and product leadership on a regular cadence.

Deep Customer Engagement

  • Maintain a continuous, structured cadence of customer engagement — including developer interviews, shadowing sessions, surveys, and usability studies — to deeply understand workflows, friction points, and unmet needs.

  • Build and nurture relationships with key internal developer personas and external mobile end-users that are geo-distributed and act as the voice of the customer in every platform decision.

  • Synthesize qualitative and quantitative customer signals into actionable insights that directly inform roadmap prioritization and feature design.

  • Champion a customer-first culture across the platform team, ensuring every initiative is grounded in validated user problems and measurable outcomes.

AI Agent Tooling & Agentic Experiences

  • Own the vision and roadmap for AI-powered capabilities within the Mobile Development Platform, including the integration of AI agent tools into developer workflows (code generation, automated testing, intelligent CI/CD, etc.).

  • Partner with engineering teams to design and ship agentic experiences that enable developers to accomplish complex tasks through natural language, autonomous agents, and multi-step reasoning pipelines.

  • Define principles and guardrails for responsible agentic product development, ensuring AI-driven features are safe, explainable, and aligned with user intent.

  • Evaluate emerging AI agent frameworks, LLM integrations, and tool-use patterns; drive adoption of those that meaningfully improve developer productivity and end-user experiences.

Innovation & Thought Leadership

  • Stay current on industry trends in mobile development, platform engineering, and developer tooling ecosystems (iOS, Android, React Native, etc.).

  • Evaluate and pilot emerging tools and frameworks; drive build-vs-buy decisions with a data-driven approach.

  • Mentor associate product managers and contribute to the broader product management community of practice.

Qualifications

Required

  • Demonstrated track record of deep, structured customer engagement practices — interviews, discovery, usability studies — that directly shaped product outcomes.

  • Experience defining and shipping AI-powered product features or agentic experiences, including familiarity with LLM tool use, prompt engineering or AI agent frameworks.

  • 8+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years focused on developer platforms, infrastructure, or mobile ecosystems.

  • Demonstrated ability to drive complex, cross-functional platform initiatives from ideation through launch at scale.

  • Strong technical acumen; comfortable engaging with engineering teams on architecture, APIs, and system design trade-offs.

  • Prior experience as a hands-on developer building or managing mobile CI/CD pipelines, SDKs, or mobile app frameworks (iOS/Android/React Native/Flutter).

  • Familiarity with developer experience (DevEx) methodologies and internal developer portal (IDP) concepts.

  • Experience defining and tracking developer-facing metrics (DORA metrics, build times, test flakiness, adoption rates, etc.).

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence without authority across all levels of the organization.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

Preferred

  • Hands-on experience working with AI agent tools (e.g., LangChain, AutoGen, Claude tool use, OpenAI function calling) in a product or prototyping context.

  • Experience working in a high-growth, fast-paced technology company with globally distributed teams.

  • MBA or Master's degree in a technical discipline is a plus.
