The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Commercial Credit Analyst to join our Credit & Risk team.
In this role, you will analyse, underwrite and manage medium to large and complex credit exposures, while supporting the continued evolution of our credit capability as technology and automation increasingly shape financial services.
This role suits someone who combines strong manual credit assessment skills with a curiosity for improvement, learning and future technologies.
What You’ll Be Doing

- Manage complex dealer and retail customer relationships
- Monitor borrower performance, establish appropriate credit limits and execute collection strategies where required
- Prepare high‑quality credit papers and risk assessments for approvals above authority
- Negotiate and prepare credit documentation using Deere templates or legal agreements
- Identify opportunities to support new and existing business growth
- Contribute to credit process improvement, including the use of digital and automation tools
- Support, coach and mentor less‑experienced team members
- Prepare reports and insights on portfolio performance and risk trends
What We’re Looking For
Must Have
- A foundation in commercial credit, financial analysis or risk assessment, with exposure to manual credit underwriting and the ability to apply judgement beyond automated scorecards
- Ability to analyse financial information with sound judgement, attention to detail and risk awareness
- Clear and professional communication skills and work constructively with stakeholders and the team
- Self‑motivated and accountable, comfortable managing priorities independently while contributing to a team
- An agile and adaptable mindset, open to change and evolving ways of working
- Genuine willingness to learn and develop, including adapting to new tools, systems and automation over time
- Strong integrity, resilience and commitment, aligned to John Deere’s values
Nice to Have
- Experience in commercial credit, banking, finance or related financial services
- Strong exposure to manual underwriting of medium or complex credit structures
- Qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline
- Interest in process improvement, digitisation or AI‑enabled credit solutions
Education / Experience
Ideally hold a degree or equivalent qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline, or be able to demonstrate equivalent practical experience
