Your Responsibilities
As a Quality Engineer for John Deere Valley City located in Valley City, ND, you will:
• Contribute to the analysis of information and the specification of the methods and process steps, as well as the plant, machinery, and equipment, required to design and continuously improve manufacturing or materials processes and process systems to deliver the end product within specified cost and quality parameters
• Contribute to the design of engineering solutions; design the feasibility testing approach and supervise its implementation to support the development and validation of engineering solutions
• Carry out a range of activities under the guidance of more senior colleagues to support the drafting of engineering standards and specifications and the evaluation of the effectiveness of
those standards
• Carry out inspections under the supervision of senior colleagues to evaluate the quality of engineering works and/or the integrity of existing installations or structures, and make recommendations to senior colleagues on the remedial works needed to ensure conformance with specifications and regulatory requirements
• Deliver required outcomes by coordinating activities of subcontractors and suppliers and acting as a primary point of contact for them while working within an established contract management plan
• Identify shortcomings in existing processes, systems, and procedures, and use established change management programs to address them
• Work within an established project management plan to achieve specific goals

What Skills You Need
• Experience in manufacturing, quality engineering, process engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving skills, including corrective action development and implementation.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams, influence without direct authority, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Effective communication, organization, with proficiency in Microsoft Office
What Makes You Stand Out
- Prior experience as Supplier Quality Engineer.
- Experience with quality management systems, such as ISO 9001
- Experience with data analysis skills, AI, PowerBI, or programming
- Quality planning, quality control, or quality improvement experience
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Leader Standard Work, Daily Management
- Data analytics
- Familiarity with John Deere manufacturing systems
Education
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering program or a related technical discipline
