JOB DESCRIPTION

Global Wealth and Asset Management (GWAM) Financial Planning & Analysis team is recruiting a highly motivated Senior Finance Analyst (SFA) to be part of their GWAM Expense Advisory Team. The incumbent will contribute to financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting for GWAM – Retail clients and support the continuous evolution and delivery of the expense advisory team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the annual expense planning cycle and build presentations for the GWAM Retail stakeholders.

  • Support the monthly forecasting cycle by updating templates and collaborating with clients to gather expense and FTE feedback. Also understand trends and use appropriate judgement to build forecasts.

  • Prepare month end analysis and commentary on variances, trends and key metrics.

  • Update Power BI dashboards and distribute results to clients.

  • Work with Accounting Operations team to investigate specific spend items and to finalize journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation for approval.

  • Support project and BAU initiative reporting by working with clients to ensure spend has been tagged to projects appropriately.

  • Assist with ongoing analysis of workflow processes and establishment of new procedures

  • Assist with various expense management initiatives as they arise (i.e. tracking cost savings, FTE movement for organizational changes, etc.).

  • Ensure the delivery of excellent customer service through proactively promoting client centricity. Effectively communicate significant production updates and challenges to the Manager in a timely manner.

  • Shares best practices with other team members and makes recommendations for process improvements.

  • Assists directors, managers and other team members on various projects and analyses.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, professional accounting designation (CPA) is preferred

  • At least 3 to 4 years of experience in a financial role

  • Highly developed written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate with onshore partners, cost center leads and stakeholders

  • Solid analytical and technical capability - ability to assimilate/summarize a large amount of information from multiple sources and present in a value-added form for senior management

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI) and ability to learn new applications quickly

  • Anaplan, Essbase and Lawson knowledge (or other complex GL package) would be an asset

  • Demonstrates emerging ability to draft managerial reporting narratives

  • Demonstrates ability to work effectively in diverse environments and cultures

  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast pace, high-performing, and collaborative team environment while managing multiple, constantly changing priorities and ad-hoc requests

  • Must be willing to work on a mid-shift schedule
