Product Delivery Quality Assurance PDQA
John Hancock Manulife
Description
The role of PDQA, Product Delivery Management is responsible for advancing product quality standards and ensuring excellence in delivery. This position requires an organized and methodical professional with the experience necessary to enhance the accuracy and reliability of products. The Senior Officer is tasked with developing and implementing a comprehensive Quality Assurance (QA) program that not only safeguards product quality but also promotes a "quality culture" within the team. This involves actively engaging all team members in maintaining high standards throughout the implementation and delivery of insurance products. The role involves collaborating with the Business Analysis team to develop user stories, reviewing documentation for alignment with requirements, planning and executing tests, and analyzing testing results to ensure quality deliverables. Additionally, the Senior Officer investigates product complaints or reported quality issues, ensuring resolutions align with company and regulatory standards, and monitors procedures to identify and report recurring issues.
Position Responsibilities:
Participate in the full product implementation journey by engaging actively in all phases of the process, from initial planning through to final delivery. Collaborate with the Business Analysis team to craft detailed and accurate user stories that capture the product's functionality and requirements, ensuring they serve as a solid foundation for development and testing.
Review all project documentation meticulously to ensure that the requirements align thoroughly with the user stories and acceptance criteria. This involves cross-referencing documents to confirm consistency and clarity, ensuring that all team members have a shared understanding of the project objectives and deliverables.
Plan, execute, and review testing processes by developing detailed test plans that outline the scope, approach, resources, and schedule for testing activities. Execute these tests meticulously, and review the results to ensure that all product features conform to specified quality standards. This includes verifying that the deliverables meet the defined acceptance criteria and function as intended under various conditions.
Analyze and investigate product complaints or quality issues reported by customers or identified internally. Take a proactive approach in tracing the root cause of these issues and ensure their closure in alignment with company guidelines and external regulatory requirements, maintaining a high standard of product reliability and customer satisfaction.
Monitor and manage risk by overseeing risk-management procedures and maintaining detailed problem logs. This involves identifying patterns or recurring issues that could impact product quality or delivery timelines. Provide insightful reports to management and product development teams, highlighting areas of concern and recommending strategies for risk mitigation to prevent future occurrences.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in insurance product implementation or testing, providing valuable industry-specific insights and expertise.
