The Senior Financial Analyst is accountable for providing accurate, timely, and relevant monthly, quarterly, and annual financial data production and reporting to different stakeholders of the Asia Regional Controllers (ARC) teams.
General Accountability:
• The job holder works closely with the Business Units to ensure smooth flow in the monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycle of the Asia Regional Controllers team, including but not limited to, expense reporting, project accounting and forecasting/budgeting.
• The job holder is responsible for the delivery of monthly and quarterly presentation, functional and project reports used by Asia CFOs and Regional Office senior leadership.
• The job holder is responsible in providing meaningful and insightful reporting through commentary writing, variance analysis, recommendations and interpretation of complex financial data that will be helpful in management/corporate reporting and decision making.
• The job holder is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely creation, revamps, development and maintenance of relevant expense reporting templates, plan templates, forecasting templates and other trend analysis. The job holder is also responsible in driving template improvements and innovation and proper testing has been done before implementation.
• The job holder is responsible in maintaining the report templates of the team such as roll forward of templates to the next reporting cycle, integrating reports to various dashboards and apps such as Anaplan, PBI. Troubleshooting / debugging macro when necessary and ensures that all templates is working as designed after the necessary updates, identifying and implementing necessary controls
• The job holder is responsible in providing support to Business Units for ad-hoc related tasks which includes template building, data extraction, report creation, data analysis, budget upload and checking.
• The job holder is responsible in coordinating with other Asia Business Units and PMOs in cases of expense/project queries and issue resolution.
• The job holder will serve as Business Unit contact for new tasks to be transitioned to the team. The job holder also needs to ensure that parallel testing has been done, problems have been communicated and resolved, and proper process documentation has been setup before live implementation.
Qualifications:
• The candidate must be a graduate of any Accounting/Finance course
• The candidate must have 4-5 years working experience related to financial reporting, Finance or related fields.
• Advanced technical accounting and expense management skills
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with database application
• Advanced Power BI and Power Query skills
• Advanced knowledge of IFS applications (Essbase, Lawson), Smartview
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact across varying cultures.
• Flexible on different business demands and deadlines. Professional attitude and client service orientation; collaborative and results oriented.
• Ability to work independently and willing to collaborate with other teams.
• Flexible on shift and overtime may be required to meet business deadlines.
