Job Description:
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Senior Business Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing and translating business requirements into functional specifications and actionable insights. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders across various departments to identify areas of improvement, streamline processes, and implement effective solutions that align with the organization's strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Responsible for gathering and documenting Business Requirements to meet business needs in a timely fashion
• Responsible for providing support to business and systems management in addressing complex derivatives business issues, conducting feasibility studies and cost/benefit analysis, assessing risk, presenting recommendations to management and implementing solutions
• Identify complex operational business issues and facilitate development of creative solutions involving workflow procedures and/or new technologies that are consistent with the business’ long-term strategic plans
• Responsible for developing and executing User Acceptance Test (UAT) scripts based on defined process and functional requirements to ensure that overall quality is delivered.
• Reports incidents, tracks defects/bugs and resolves issues with the development team until all incidents identified are resolved
• Work with QA team, as required, to help document regression test scripts
• Lead process improvements and drive the successful delivery of initiatives
• Collaborate with onshore stakeholders and internal teams to resolve any issues related to projects
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies/Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Math or related fields
• With at least five years related work experience
• Strong understanding of derivative products and derivatives system – ie. Findur
• Advanced MS Office skills
• Operational experience in functions related to Investments / Market Operations such as reconciliations, settlements, static data maintenance
• Knowledge of basic programming language/SQL and/or natural curiosity/affinity to system workflows and interdependence will be an advantage
• Knowledge in Bloomberg is an advantage
• Has in-depth knowledge of the Investments / Markets Operations business and the different functions in the trade lifecycle
• Highly trainable and ability to work independently with minimal guidance and supervision
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexible and agile – quick to pick-up on tight deadlines and changes in requirements
• Strong Risk and Controls acumen – attention to quality, able to perform investigation and root cause analysis on operational incidents and assist with internal and external audit and key controls activities
• Superior problem solving/analytical and technical skills with excellent attention to detail
• Ability to handle numerous tasks and learn complex concepts quickly in a fast-paced environment
• Solid organizational skills and a high degree of professionalism combined with the ability to readily adapt to rapidly changing environments and deal with competing priorities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Team player with demonstrated experience building and maintaining good working relationships both internally and externally
