The Audit Analyst reports directly to the Audit Manager. Responsibilities include the following:
Audit and Assurance
- Assist in the preparation of audit presentation materials for various committee and executive meetings.
- Plan and fulfill various types of audits (key risk audits, key risk reviews, AML, SOX) in accordance with existing audit methodology, departmental standards, and regulatory requirements. Audit scope may include MBPS, global functions, Asia, GWAM, and any other segment/function as determined by Audit leadership team.
- Perform process walkthroughs and sample testing.
- Comprehensive documentation of relevant facts and audit findings. Ensure quality of work papers in accordance with audit standards.
- Observe audit engagement timelines and agile reporting deadlines.
- Assist in evaluating the management of risks and effectiveness of internal controls during audit engagements. Document practical and value-adding recommendations to improve the control environment.
- Actively listen and participate during discussions with stakeholders.
- Draft audit reports that are clear, concise, well-organized, and issued within departmental service standards.
- Utilize data analytics technique to determine audit sampling and ensure the efficiency of audit process.
- Monitor progress of corrective action plans and closure of reported audit issues in Archer. Assist to send follow-up emails to action owners and escalate to higher management, when necessary.
- Maintain credibility and independence while building professional relationships with stakeholders.
Qualifications
- University degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA, CA, CIA, CISA designation is an advantage.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience. Familiarity with control frameworks and risk management techniques is an advantage.
- Prior working experience with a Global Shared Service Center (Finance, Operations, IT, Actuarial) is an advantage.
- Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).
- Active listening skills with outstanding attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and team members.
- Highly organized with an ability to work in a fast-paced, broad matrix organization while managing workload with aggressive timelines.
- Ability to quickly understand different business processes (Finance, Operations, IT, Contact Center, Actuarial).
- Capable of identifying risks and key controls within processes. Innovative thinker with the ability to challenge status quo and continuously recommend action plans to improve control environment.
- Good understanding of general finance or IT systems / workflows available in the market.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with agile project management approaches and tools is an advantage.
- Must be willing to work for a midshift schedule with NDHP, if necessary. Overtime may be required to meet deadlines.
