Senior IT Business Analyst

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the eMPF project, contributing to both large-scale data migration and the development of a new pension system. This initiative involves migrating extensive datasets to the eMPF platform and designing a modern, feature-rich system tailored to the evolving needs of our pension business. A key focus will be on enhancing the digital servicing landscape, including the development of mobile-friendly interfaces to deliver an improved and seamless user experience.
Position Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with various departments to review and analyze business requests, ensuring alignment with company priorities and strategic objectives.
- Translate business needs into clear and concise user requirement documents, functional specifications, and visual mock-ups for proposed IT solutions.
- Conduct impact assessments and recommend cost-effective, scalable solutions that support business growth and operational efficiency.
- Facilitate discussions and build consensus among stakeholders, business partners, and IT development teams to ensure shared understanding and alignment.
- Lead and participate in all phases of project planning and execution while tracking requirements, deliverables, and testing progress.
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for internal business systems, promoting best practices and continuous improvement.
- Deliver effective system training and support to business users, ensuring smooth adoption and optimal usage of new tools and features.
- Define test strategies, develop test plans, and manage testing teams to ensure solutions meet business objectives and quality standards.
- Take ownership of system and project-related issues, driving root cause analysis and resolution in a timely manner.
- Design and generate reports to meet business and regulatory requirements, perform data analysis, and ensure data integrity.
- Mentor and coach junior team members, fostering the development of their business analysis skills and professional growth.
Required Qualifications:
- Degree holder in information systems, business administration or related discipline.
- At least 8 years of experiences business analysis, ideally in pensions, insurance or financial services
- Familiarity with MPF regulations and experience in Mandatory Provident Funds application development is a strong advantage
- Well organized and attentive to details, flexible with working hours
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills, and disciplined with project scheduling
- Self-initiated and have a strong drive to learn
- Good understanding in SQL and experience in APIs
- Experience with Agile methodologies, Jira and Confluence is essential
- Able to clearly articulate business processes and ideas verbally and in written English
- Experience and knowledge in complicate testing execution and support
- Experience in leading junior team members and groom them to work independently
