Manulife Bank is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Product Manager to play a pivotal role in innovating our product suite, driving growth, and enhancing customer retention. As a Product Manager, you will collaborate closely with the Product Director and team on key projects and initiatives that address business opportunities and challenges. This position requires working effectively with internal and external partners to implement strategies that grow deposit balances, optimize costs, streamline processes, and elevate advisor & customer experience.

Position Responsibilities:

Product Management:

  • Collaborate with the team to support the management and strategic alignment of deposit products with business goals and advisor & customer needs.

  • Build roadmaps and complete new product launches and enhancements, including changes to features, benefits, and pricing, by coordinating with relevant partners to ensure successful implementation.

  • Assist in implementing deposit portfolio strategies that balance sales, customer experience, risk management, and profitability by using insights and feedback from partners.

  • Partner with Treasury & Finance in supporting portfolio forecasting and product rate setting to achieve growth, retention, and engagement goals, with input from cross-functional teams.

  • Monitor competitive offerings and stay informed about market trends, sharing insights with partners to refine product strategy.

  • Act as a key partner in updating product collateral, such as applications, letters, and forms, ensuring consistency with the overall product vision and strategy.

Driving Growth & Enhancing Retention:

  • ​Partner with Sales, Growth & Go to Market teams to implement strategies that support new customer acquisition and retention, and foster balance growth.

  • Design and implement effective deposit campaigns to attract and retain customers, boosting deposit balances. Monitor and analyze campaign performance, using data-driven insights to optimize results.

  • Influence key deposit metrics, including new account acquisition, balance growth and retention, and customer NPS.

  • Track and manage deposit fund flows, including inflows, outflows, attrition, and retention, while ensuring alignment with strategic goals.

Stakeholder Engagement & Influence:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal partners, including Sales, Marketing, Analytics and Reporting, Operations, Finance, Treasury, and Compliance, to collaboratively drive pivotal initiatives and achieve shared objectives.

  • Work with internal and external partners and influence without authority to implement programs that drive portfolio growth and enhance customer experience.

Debit Card Portfolio Management:

  • Oversee the development and management of the debit card portfolio, ensuring seamless customer experiences and alignment with business goals.

  • Partner with internal and external partners in leading initiatives to enhance certification and activation processes for improved product functionality and customer experience.

  • Develop strategies to mitigate external impacts, such as postal disruptions, ensuring uninterrupted card services.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance product performance and competitiveness.

Process & Business requirements:

  • Develop and implement strategies that streamline existing processes, reduce friction and improve overall service delivery for both advisors and customers.

  • Apply feedback from customers and advisors to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous process enhancements.

  • Stay informed of regulatory changes, assess their impact, and implement necessary adjustments.

  • Collaborate with legal and regulatory compliance teams to conduct regular audits and maintain a strong compliance framework.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years in Product Management, preferably in Deposits.

  • University or college degree, or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Product Manager (CPM) or equivalent certification preferred.

  • Agile Product Owner certification or relevant experience preferred.

Salary range is expected to be between

$80,700.00 CAD - $145,260.00 CAD
