Financial Analyst

Position Responsibilities:
Makes recommendations for process improvements.
Shows a moderate degree of proficiency with reporting and analysis tools.
Works on semi-structured assignments based on existing practices and within guidelines.
Mentors staff accountants.
Compile ad hoc accounting and analyses for other business partners
Assist with internal and external audits
Shares best practices with other team members and makes recommendations for process improvements
Assists directors, managers and other team members on various projects and analyses
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent courses
- 2 to 4 years of experience in Finance and/or Accounting in the insurance industry
Demonstrates a working knowledge of accounting rules, regulatory rules and/or business processes as it pertains to the accountant's sphere of responsibility (e.g., a set of regulatory filings or account reconciliations)
Demonstrates broad based analytical and inquiry skills to understand legal entity financial statements, board reports, and/or filings.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong computer skills and an advanced knowledge of MS Excel and the Essbase add-in
Familiarity with Asia treasury accounting system
