The opportunity
We are looking for an individual to join the Investment Product team for our Japan Wealth and Asset Management business. This individual will be responsible for supporting ongoing investment product development and management across the domestic and offshore product platforms utilized by our Retail and Institutional businesses.

Responsibilities

  • Product idea generation and conceptualization in support of Retail and Institutional client channels in Japan
  • Product launch for PPITs, POITs and offshore vehicles
  • Oversight and maintenance for our existing Japan onshore product range
  • Development and presentation of business cases for domestic initiatives
  • Management and sourcing of seed capital funding for new product launches
  • Contribution to regional product idea generation, development and launch

Skills & Experience (Must Have):

* Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Investment product development, product management or fund onboarding.

* Self-starter and highly motivated to take the initiative required to achieve set goals and objectives.

* Strong attention to detail and able to resolve problems independently while using relevant information, sound reasoning and common sense

*Develop working knowledge of investment philosophy, investment strategy, portfolio construction, risk guidelines, policies and legal structures of relevant products

Skills & Experience (Nice to Have):

CMA/CFA

Experience in product management in financial institutions

Knowledge of investments or investment analysis a plus

Comfortable using financial data and processing software

How will you create impact?
Reporting to the Head of Investment Product, Asia, this role will be vital in the ongoing expansion and refinement of the domestic and offshore product ranges in support of our Japan Retail and Institutional business lines. For Manulife, Asia Wealth and Asset Management is a key growth driver and the individual in this role will be central to our regional aspirations.

Internal Guidelines about Work from Home:

Hybrid Model, following Manulife’s Working Better guidelines.

Over time:

0-40 hours/month.

Salary:

Based on our Work Rules, we will consider your experience, skills and knowledge when we decide the salary.

Commutation allowance and Variable Incentive Bonus are paid based on our Work Rules.

Working Hours:

Standard Working Hours: 9:00am - 5:00pm (Include 1 hour break. Flex-time system available)
