We are looking for a Business Systems Analyst to join our Reference Data Management squad, supporting our growing suite of reference data tools. The Business System Analyst will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions, focusing on improving operational efficiency and implementing effective systems. This role is hybrid and Manila - based.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Analyze systems and processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
  • Act as first triage for business or operations daily issues. Ensure proper handovers are conducted at the close of day as the squad follows a 24-hour clock model.
  • Work with squad lead and other team members to implement new features and user stories needed in Reference Data Management applications. Focus on Security Master File, Market, Entity, Portfolio, Pricing, and Ratings related data and/or file enhancements.
  • Create or update documentation in support of our applications. Documents may include detailed specifications, implementation guides, and logging and monitoring documentation.
  • Participate in Audit and Compliance records gathering and reviews with Audit and Compliance teams.
  • Coordinate release management tickets and approvals for enhancements or bug fixes.
  • At times, participate in testing efforts related to our applications.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • Must have 3+ experience in System or Business Analyst Role
  • Familiarity with file transfer, SFTP, ideally CA Workflow Automation tool.
  • Investments data experience preferred.
  • Business System Analyst skills to create requirements that engineers can implement.
  • Hands-on experience with issue triage and resolution for business critical applications; experience in incident / change management is a plus
  • Able to work in an Agile environment indicating progress and reporting in JIRA.
  • Amenable to work at UP Ayala Technohub (Quezon City)
  • Amenable to work on a hybrid set-up (3x a week onsite)
  • Amenable to work in any shift schedule assigned (night shift; but flexible depending on business need)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Effective English verbal and written communication skills. Should be able to adapt communication style to suit different audiences
  • Experience with Agile methodologies
  • Work well independently as well as in team environment as situation dictates
  • Nice to have: Bloomberg Data Management or Bloomberg, S&P Markit EDM, Jira, SharePoint, Confluence experience.
  • Nice to have: SQL, Databricks, XML, API experience.
