Senior IT Product Owner

Position Responsibilities:
Product Strategy and Vision:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement product strategies, encouraging alignment across the organization.
- Work closely with the team to establish a clear product vision, objectives, and plan, ensuring the creation of outstanding products that meet customer requirements.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify market trends and opportunities, keeping us ahead of the competition.
- Apply GDT Vision and Strategy for guiding product development.
Product Development and Delivery:
- Define and prioritize product requirements, build user stories, and manage the product backlog effectively.
- Work with development and Ops teams, providing clear mentorship and requirements to ensure flawless execution and timely delivery.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to build outstanding user experiences that drive engagement and happiness.
Agile Practices and Team Collaboration:
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Lead sprint planning and review sessions.
- Collaborate with the Development and Ops Teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery.
Performance Monitoring and Continuous Improvement:
- Monitor product performance, analyze data, and make data-driven decisions to continuously improve product offerings.
- Engage with customers and internal team members to collect feedback and valuable insights, integrating them into continuous improvement and development efforts.
Partner Engagement:
- Foster strong collaborator engagement to ensure alignment with business goals and facilitate effective collaboration.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT product management, with a focus on Business Intelligence and data management projects.
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) and Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certifications are required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Consistent track record of successfully leading and delivering a high level of IT projects, preferably in the financial industry.
- Confirmed experience delivering modern MDM technology and standard IT methodology related projects.
- Solid understanding of Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum, and experience working in agile teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate product vision, requirements, and feedback effectively.
- Ability to analyze data, trends, and user feedback to make informed product decisions.
- Strong decision-making skills to prioritize features and guide the development process.
- A basic understanding of the technical aspects of Azure/Databricks/BI.
- Ability to identify issues, evaluate options, and help implement solutions.
- Capability to encourage and motivate the team towards achieving the GDT vision and goals.

Salary range is expected to be between
$104,860.00 USD - $194,740.00 USDIf you are applying for this role outside of the primary location, please contact recruitment@manulife.com for the salary range for your location. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training. Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance.
