Senior Business Systems Analyst

We are seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst to join our Accounting Team within the Segment Tech function at MBPS. In this pivotal role, you will contribute to transforming how we engage with customers by integrating analytics, business intelligence, and AI into our decision-making processes. You’ll be part of a high-performing Agile team responsible for application support, deployment, and data analysis, all aligned with Manulife’s standards. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of operational and leadership experience, enabling them to design and support solutions that seamlessly integrate with our organizational and application frameworks.

Position Responsibilities:
- Management:
- Effectively partner with the Senior IT People Leader/Segment Tech Manager to formulate tactical and strategic plans to meet and exceed Service Level Agreements with the business unit.
- Effectively manage daily operations on the team assigned by coordinating efforts with peers onsite and multisite, including Business unit and stakeholders.
- Provide input for management with respect to staff performance, resource management, identify training gaps and development opportunities.
- Conduct regular coaching/performance assessment and update quarterly the individual development plan of each member of staff.
- Liaise with supporting departments to optimize service delivery; coordinate and relay information; identify potential problem areas and resolve or escalate them.
- Operations:
- Act as first triage for business or operations daily issues. Ensure proper handovers are conducted at the close of day (Asia / UK / NA) as the squad follows a 24-hour clock model.
- Performs Level 2 / Level 3 work as aligned with the Business unit strategies.
- Work with squad lead and other team members to identify and implement process improvement initiatives to reduce toil and increase efficiency in doing SimCorp Dimension tasks.
- Ensure creation / update of documentations required for SCD application support. Documents may include detailed troubleshooting efforts, implementation guides, and logging and monitoring documentation (Confluence).
- Participate in Audit and Compliance records gathering and reviews with Audit and Compliance teams, as required.
- At times and as required, participate in testing efforts related to the team’s applications.
- Collaborate with and assist the L1 and L1.5 support teams in resolving issues efficiently.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Promote persistent issues to Engineers, Architects, and or vendor where necessary.
- Proactively makes suggestions for improvements based on understanding of availability SLA.
- Amenable to work on a hybrid set-up (3x a week onsite)
- Amenable to work at UP Ayala Technohub (Quezon City)
- Amenable to work in any shift schedule assigned (morning shift; but flexible depending on business need)
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or any related course.
- 5+ experience in System or Business Analyst Role.
- Hands-on experience with issue triage and resolution for business - critical applications.
- Able to work in a DevOps model approach.
- Able to work in an Agile environment indicating progress and reporting in JIRA.
- Nice to have: Simcorp Dimension (SCD), JIRA, SharePoint, ServiceNow, Confluence experience.
- Nice to have: Batch Scheduler (CA WLA), Informatica PowerCenter, Power Platform (PowerBI)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Investments / Accounting systems knowledge and experience preferred.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to multitask both independently and within a team.
- Excellent English communication (both written and oral).
- Ability to understand business process requirements and using technology, conceptualize creative solutions through implementation.
- Experience in the financial industry.
