The Opportunity

To provide BAU support for MongoDB across Asia. The MongoDB DBA brings 7 plus years of experience in MongoDB installation, Configuration and administration. Possess technical skills and experience in monitoring, troubleshooting, maintenance of MongoDB databases.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provides day-to-day support including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, backup and recovery of Mongo database

  • Installation, configuration and maintenance of MongoDB clusters on-premise and Atlas

  • Evaluate, Plan and perform Mongo DB major/minor upgrades

  • MongoDB scaling across data centres and/or in - depth understanding of MongoDB, including replica sets. Schema using Mongos.

  • Backup & Recovery, Database optimization, hardening and Security maintenance.

  • Backup and restore databases, collections as needed between environments using mongo utilities

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in MongoDB and Database Administration

  • Must have worked on production support with hands on experience on standalone, replication, sharding, clustering

  • Experience in upgrading database versions, migrating data across multiple databases/Mongo Atlas and performed CRUD operations.

  • Possess strong experience on query SQL tuning, performance optimization and data realignments

  • Knowledge of managing a MongoDB cluster using Mongo's OpsManager tool

  • Conduct root cause analysis & implement pro-active measures. Monitor effectiveness of implemented measures

  • Must be willing to work on rotational 24x7 Oncall support, planned/adhoc weekend support/changes and flexible to meet current and future business needs

  • Good communication skills with Positive attitude, problem solving skills, multi-tasking and self-initiative qualities
