The Applications Development team provides innovative solutions in driving Manulife’s digital transformation. We are looking for versatile Full Stack Engineer who are obsesses about Customers and is passionate about developing amazing technology solutions.

Position Responsibilities:
- Design, code, unit test and integrate new features and functionality
- Apply creative problem solving that bring software designs to life
- Build apps, APIs and data solutions to drive projects
- Promote agile principles and methodology
- Participate in ideation and brainstorming sessions to devise creative and disruptive digital solutions
- Perform various investigative "Spikes" in order to mitigate technical uncertainty and risk
- Assist in the development of automated test harnesses as necessary to ensure delivery of high-quality code
- Update progress daily through the tracking tool (Jira) or Kanban board
- Complete and ensure completion of any required documentation required e.g. deployment, maintenance, support and business needs
- Participate in the weekly Look Ahead meetings to assist the Product Owner to refine the Product Backlog including providing initial estimates
- Apply disciplined coding practices to enable agility and delivery of high-quality code
Required Qualifications:
- Technologies such as: React, Angular, JQuery, Javascript, Python, Scala or Java, C#
- Web Development skills such as: HTML 5, CSS 3, AJAX, JSON, ASP.Net
- Good API skills (technologies such as Express/Node, GraphQL/Relay, Flask, Jersey, Java Spring REST or WebApi2)
- Writes clear, readable and maintainable code, takes ownership of the quality and usability of code
- Understands how to find and reuse patterns and platforms in the Manulife ecosystem and the broader community
- Knowledge on MS SQL, hands-on RDBMS experience (data modeling, analysis, programming, stored procedures)
- Knowledgeable in Unit, Integration, Functional, System, Stress, Performance, Usability Testing
- Knowledgeable in Web Deployment and Management
- Good foundation in data structures, algorithms, and OO Design with rock-solid programming skills
- Collaborative attitude, willingness to work with team members; able to coach, participate in code reviews, share skills and methods
- Constantly learns from both success and failure
- Good organizational and problem-solving abilities that enable you to manage through creative abrasion
- Good verbal and written communication; effectively articulates technical vision, possibilities, and outcomes
- Experiments with emerging technologies and understanding how they will impact what comes next
- Experience working in or leading complex enterprise implementations
- Amenable to work UP Ayala Technohub (Quezon City)
- Amenable to work on a hybrid set-up (3x a week onsite)
- Amenable to work in a fixed night shift schedule assigned (also flexible depending on business need)
