Associate Platform Engineer

KWe’re looking for Associate Platform Engineer to join our Global Operations Command Center (GOCC) team at MBPS. In this role, you are expected to complete activities associated with providing the 24/7/365 operations required to maintain Manulife’s infrastructure and IT services by identifying, analyzing, and prioritizing events and incidents and completing service requests and BAU tasks.
Position Responsibilities:
1st Level support for issues related to infrastructure including IaaS and PaaS components.
Performs system checks and platform component upgrades.
Assist Platform/DevOps/Application teams covering 24/7 monitoring and basic troubleshooting.
Uses from catalogue of scripts and solutions to solve known issues regarding configuring, provisioning, and maintaining software/platform.
Required Qualifications:
2 to 3 years’ experience in supporting applications in production environments running on Linux and Windows. Relevant experience in Incident, Change and Problem Management.
Knowledge in DevSecOps tools e.g., Github, Jenkins, Artifactory, Confluence, Jira.
Knowledge in AppSecOps tools e.g., Snyk, BurpSuite.
Relevant experience in Service Management Tools e.g., ServiceNow and xMatters.
Relevant experience from working in DevOps organizations.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering or Information Technology
Work Arrangement: As part of a 24/7/365 operation, this is an Office based shift role.
Shift Schedule: Shift patterns are based on 8-hour shifts alternating between morning, mid and night shifts monthly.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in Microsoft Azure Kubernetes Service
Knowledge in Observability and AIOps tools e.g., New Relic and Moogsoft.
