Head of Business Analyst and Quality Assurance

Singapore IT Business Analysts and Testing team focuses on ensuring business requirements are accurately captured and “translated” into solutions. The IT Business Analysts would carefully analyze business needs, before assessing and suggesting how the technology/systems can be better developed or enhanced to meet business needs. They would also provide required support to business and delivery team from prioritization all the way to implementation. The testing team work together with stakeholders to ensure adequate quality according to agreed scopes adopting best practices.
The position of Head of IT Business Analysts and Testing reports to CIO. He/she provides leaderships and directions to the team in executing all deliveries and initiatives in collaboration with the other HODs (Head of Departments), SLT (Senior Leadership Team) and agile delivery teams. He/she also drives effectiveness, increases capabilities, and increases profitability of the overall team, at the same time serve as the go-to person for all escalations, risks and issues that the team encounters.

- Consistently improves the quality and timeliness of deliveries
- Resourceful, and excellent problem management and problem-solving skills
- Excellent change management skills which help to collaborate with and influence the business to adopt best practices
- Familiarity with agile and DevOps principles, behaviour-driven and test-driven development, continuous integration, and other Software Engineering best practices to accelerate the delivery and quality of deliveries
- Provide coaching, mentoring, goal setting, and overall performance management for IT BA and testing team
- Highly methodical and systematic approach to the preparation of management reports
Key Shared Accountabilities
- Implement and improve the agile culture of the IT BA and testing team and the larger Singapore IT team
- Support the CIO in improving the engagement of the IT employees starting with the IT BA and testing team
- Adopt and actively drive data-driven culture and make fact based decision
- Learn emerging technologies and understanding how they will impact what comes next
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or related courses
- Technical knowledge in software development and test automation of large-scale applications
- Preferably with experience in the Financial Industry
- Extensive knowledge with the following technologies: SQL, Cloud Computing, Selenium, Appium,
- Python, Robotic Process Automation for Testing, Oracle database (or any relational database), JAVA
- Familiarity with the following technologies: JIRA (including Service Desk), XRAY, Confluence, Power BI, Power Platform
Excellent organizational and time management skills and a strong ability to recognize critical path deliverables in order to deliver within project timelines
Strong verbal and written communication with the ability to effectively articulate and communicate technical vision, possibilities, and outcomes.
Effective stakeholder management skills and ability to partner with and influence senior management to drive data culture in the organization
