Position Responsibilities:

  • Helps translate business and functional requirements into documented technical specifications or user stories.
    Uses development skills to design, build (code), maintain, and test new systems functionality per technical specifications, with deliverables to include code builds, documented unit test results, and useable end products while ensuring a seamless user experience.
    Runs pipelines to test, scan, and package source code (the source to image process).
    Strives to improve the loading speed and overall performance of applications.
    Utilizes product lifecycle methodology as a guide for development activities.
    Implements responsive design and cross-browser compatibility for different screen sizes.
    Constructs quick interactive prototypes that illustrate UI design: functional with modern effects, animations, and transitions as appropriate, that present a realistic feel of the intended experience.
    Presents prototypes to a large audience and key stakeholders of product as and when required.
    Serves as an intermediary bridging the gap between the user and the backend developers, and tweaks tools and platforms to adapt to real-world use situations.
    Upholds software development leading practices, including writing clean and extensive code.
    Performs peer reviews of code / deliverables and analysis for continuous learning and continuous improvement.
    Ensures compatibility and consistent functionality and appearance across the different platforms (websites, software, web-based applications).
    Stays up-to-date with evolving technologies and industry trends.

Required Qualifications:

  • Knowledge in developing cloud-based applications
    Experience with front-end technologies and/or front-end frameworks
    Proficiency in fundamental web technologies
    Strong understanding of responsive design principles and techniques
    Familiarity with front-end build tools and testing frameworks
    Experience with performance optimization tools and techniques
    Experience in creating design patterns, semantic HTML and alternative text for images
    Understand cloud fundamentals

    Decision Authority:
    Leads projects or work streams independently and contributes to their planning
    May act as professional expertise information resource for colleagues in own area, advising on a particular topic with a degree of authority
    Requires advanced problem-solving skills involving filtering, interpretation and validation of dynamic information
    Works independently, receives minimal guidance
    May coordinate resources for a small team and contribute to the effectiveness of their contributions to the broader area
