Join our Affinity Technology Engineering Team!

Position Responsibilities:

  • Interprets and documents business, technical and functional requirements.

  • Research and documents issues involving workflow procedures and processes.

  • Analyzes data and develops creative solutions.

  • Coordinates recommended process changes, improvements, and product implementations, including test plans to ensure successful implementation.

  • Collaborates with Engineering and Architecture teams to create detailed system maps, illustrating the flow of data, processes, and interactions within existing and proposed systems.

  • Translates business and user requirements into Epics, Features, and User Stories.

  • Facilitates the design sessions with the project implementation team.

  • Resolves acceptance testing framework and standards to assess completed projects.

  • Assists in translating User stories and use cases into test conditions and expected results for product, performance, and user acceptance testing.

  • Conducts review sessions to gain approval of requirements and manage changes through the application of standard control processes and tools.

  • Collaborates with development teams to facilitate effective implementation of system improvements or new solutions.

  • Collaborates with collaborators to gather and detail product requirements and translate these requirements into clear and actionable technical user stories or product specifications.

  • Plans, implements, and analyzes tests to evaluate the impact of changes or new features.

  • Prepares reports and presentations to communicate insights, findings, and recommendations.

  • Conducts regular evaluations to assess product performance against goals and benchmarks to identify areas of improvement and recommend strategies for optimization.


Required Qualifications:

  • 4 years + of experience in the role of an IT Business Analyst.

  • Skilled in translating business/technical requirements into well-defined Epics/Stories/Tasks with clear acceptance criteria.

  • Solid grasp and experience in Agile Development methodologies and tools (Jira, Scrum, Kanban).

  • Strong SQL skills.

  • Working knowledge of Cloud based Systems.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Insurance domain experience.

  • Data Lake.

  • Power BI Reporting.

  • Azure Cloud.

  • NoSQL (Mongo DB or any other relevant).

Salary range is expected to be between

$86,100.00 CAD - $136,100.00 CAD
