Business Analyst, Aladdin Investment Operations

The Business Analyst will play a key role in supporting the implementation of new technology and applications across Middle Office Investment Operations. The analyst will work closely with operations teams, technology partners, and external vendors to gather requirements, document workflows, support system integration, and drive operational readiness. The role is instrumental in ensuring a smooth transition and enabling scalable, efficient, and well‑controlled operational processes.
Responsibilities:
Collect, document, and manage business requirements throughout the project lifecycle
Analyze current-state processes and support operations in designing future-state workflows that align with new system capabilities and target operating models.
Develop and execute test strategies, test cases, and expected results to validate new workflows and system functionality; maintain clear and comprehensive documentation.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify operational gaps, pain points, and opportunities for optimization.
Work independently or with management to develop creative, scalable solutions for operational challenges, ensuring alignment to strategic transformation objectives.
Partner with technology teams and external vendors to ensure new integrations, enhancements, and process changes meet business needs.
Maintain focus as priorities evolve, clearly communicating changes, dependencies, and impacts across teams.
Ensure all processes and systems adhere to relevant internal controls, regulatory standards, and compliance requirements.
Qualifications
University degree in Business, Finance, or Computer Science; MBA, CFA, FRM or similar certification is a plus.
5+ years of Business Analysis experience within an Application Management environment within the financial services industry.
High level of proficiency of BlackRock’s Aladdin investment platform is required.
Strong understanding of middle-office processes, including trade capture & trade lifecycle, settlement operations, cash management, corporate actions, and reconciliations.
Experience supporting system implementations, large-scale transformations, or operational migrations is needed.
Strong analytical and documentation skills, including process mapping and workflow design.
Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and operate in a global and cross-functional environment.
Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills, with the ability to bridge business and technical teams, articulate requirements, and secure stakeholder alignment.

Salary range is expected to be between
$88,425.00 CAD - $153,270.00 CADEmployees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
