Business Rules Analyst

We are looking for a Business Rules Analyst to support the development, optimization, and governance of business rules that power our AI‑enabled platforms. In this role, you will translate operational requirements into structured rule logic, ensuring accuracy, scalability, compliance, and alignment with business intent. You will collaborate closely with Product, SMEs, Engineering, and other business partners to design and refine rule sets that enhance automation, improve workflow efficiency, and strengthen client outcomes.
Position Responsibilities:
Translate business requirements, policies, and operational workflows into clear and structured business rules for use within a generative AI platform.
Design, build, and maintain rule logic that supports AI‑driven decision-making, content generation, workflow automation, and data transformation.
Partner with business stakeholders, Product Owners, and SMEs to define, validate, and refine rule logic.
Conduct end-to-end testing of business rules to ensure accuracy, scalability, consistency, traceability, and alignment with business intent.
Collaborate with QA teams to support test case development, scenario creation, and acceptance criteria.
Analyze model outputs, rule performance, and business feedback to identify improvements and optimize existing rule sets.
Maintain detailed documentation, including rule definitions, dependencies, version history, and rationale.
Ensure adherence to compliance, audit, privacy, and AI governance standards.
Support implementation of new processes or system enhancements by coordinating rule integration, validation, and testing.
Contribute expertise to cross-functional projects involving workflow adjustments, system configuration, or data mapping.
Required Qualifications:
2–3 years of relevant business experience (Group Benefits, Eligibility, Payroll, Insurance, or similar).
Experience translating business requirements into functional specifications or rule sets.
Understanding of system analysis, workflow design, business logic, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
Strong analytical skills, including attention to detail and critical thinking.
Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and collaborate across functions.
Excellent communication, facilitation, and documentation skills.
Experience working with project methodologies (AGILE preferred).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Adeptia or similar integration/mapping platforms.
Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, and Kanban boards.
Experience with JSON creation, editing, or troubleshooting for rule logic or configuration.
Knowledge of ABL file structures, client notes, and/or vLoad processes (internal asset).
Exposure to generative AI systems that convert natural language into code or rule logic.
Experience performing data transformations (string manipulation, concatenation, date formatting, mathematical operations).
Understanding of how rules integrate across partners or downstream systems.
Experience in a System Specialist role or similar technical configuration environment, is considered as a strong asset

Salary range is expected to be between
$59,100.00 CAD - $98,500.00 CADEmployees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
