We’re currently searching for PMO Lead – Technology and Cyber Risk program who will be directly reporting to the Manulife Asia IRM Portfolio and Solution Delivery Team. Our group is consisting of highly motivated and experienced professionals and is composed of members located across Asia office locations such as Manila, Chengdu and Hongkong. The Manulife Asia IRM Portfolio and Solution Delivery team prides itself in managing an enterprise risk program that recognizes and reduces significant risks so that we can provide our customers with best experience and more secure systems and/or applications.

The PMO Lead will play a critical role in driving governance, reporting, and operational discipline across the Technology and Cyber Risk program. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate portfolio tracking, high-quality executive reporting, and effective coordination across project managers, technology teams, and business units (markets).

The ideal candidate combines strong PMO discipline, data-driven mindset, and the ability to translate technical cybersecurity initiatives into clear, business-friendly narratives for senior stakeholders.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Own and maintain the cybersecurity project portfolio, ensuring accurate and timely updates in Planview, including project setup, codes, and portfolio structure
  • Manage portfolio reporting by consolidating status, risks, issues, and dependencies, and maintaining a centralized inventory of all initiatives
  • Oversee timesheet governance by working with Market BUs to ensure IRM resources accurately track effort and maintain high compliance
  • Prepare high-quality monthly Steering Committee materials, translating technical cybersecurity topics into clear business language with timelines, roadmaps, and key insights
  • Capture and distribute Steering Committee minutes, including decisions, action items, and follow-ups
  • Coordinate closely with Project Managers by actively following up on updates, ensuring reporting discipline, and escalating issues when needed
  • Develop and maintain prioritization frameworks, including templates for initiative intake, scoring, and effort estimation to support effective decision-making
  • Produce and analyse portfolio metrics using Excel or similar tools, providing insights on progress, resource utilization, and delivery performance
  • Drive continuous improvement of PMO processes, templates, and governance standards across the cybersecurity delivery function
  • Operate with strong ownership and independence, proactively managing stakeholders, enforcing accountability, and ensuring delivery transparency
  • Support ad hoc initiatives within the Technology and Cyber Risk program as required

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, IT Security, other related fields or any equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in PMO / Project Management / Portfolio Management, with exposure to Information Security, Risk Management, IT Applications, or IT Infrastructure
  • Experience working in matrix/global organizations with multiple stakeholders
  • Experience using Planview or other PPM tools
  • Strong PowerPoint storytelling skills (executive-level presentations)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise sound judgment and flexibility
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively, depending on the situation
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in cybersecurity programs or transformation initiatives
  • Familiarity with Agile, DevOps, or CI/CD environments
  • Exposure to risk-based prioritization frameworks
