The Procurement Analyst (Line 1B) plays a key role in supporting Manulife’s first line of defense by ensuring effective governance, risk management, and control over third-party vendor relationships. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with global stakeholders, particularly in North America, to manage vendor risk and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards. The role contributes directly to safeguarding the organization’s operations and reputation through strong risk monitoring, reporting, and remediation practices. Successful candidates will gain exposure to enterprise risk frameworks, procurement systems, and cross-functional collaboration in a global setting.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Support day-to-day management, monitoring, and reporting of third-party risks within Procurement (Line 1B)
  • Conduct risk identification and assessment activities, including evaluating likelihood and impact of vendor-related risks
  • Monitor and report risk metrics, ensuring timely escalation and follow-through on deviations and issues
  • Perform control testing, audits, and documentation reviews to validate compliance and effectiveness of risk controls
  • Collect, validate, and maintain procurement data to ensure completeness and accuracy of key system inputs
  • Generate monthly procurement and risk reports using system data and support data analysis activities
  • Track documentation completeness and coordinate with stakeholders to close gaps and outstanding requirements
  • Maintain logs of submissions and ensure proper record-keeping of procurement documentation
  • Collaborate with global Procurement and Risk teams on projects, deliverables, and process improvements
  • Participate in MBPS activities and support additional Line 1B business needs as required

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in vendor management, third-party risk management, operational or enterprise risk, procurement, contracts, or internal audit
  • Strong governance, audit, and compliance background with knowledge of risk and control frameworks
  • Experience working in a professional, corporate environment with exposure to global stakeholders
  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Access, and SharePoint
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated teamwork, stakeholder management, and service-oriented mindset
  • Willingness to work North America shift (8:00 PM – 5:00 AM PHT) with flexibility as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working within a global financial services or insurance organization
  • Familiarity with procurement systems and contract lifecycle management tools
  • Experience in conducting audits, control testing, or compliance reviews
  • Knowledge of third-party risk frameworks and regulatory requirements
  • Exposure to data analysis, reporting dashboards, or process improvement initiatives
