The Investment Operations Analyst is an entry-to-intermediate professional role responsible for executing day-to-day portfolio reconciliations and operational activities with accuracy and timeliness. The role focuses on learning core investment operations processes, resolving routine breaks, and supporting senior team members while building strong stakeholder relationships.
Position Responsibilities:
- Perform daily and monthly reconciliations of cash balances, cash transactions, and securities holdings across assigned portfolios.
- Investigate and resolve routine reconciliation breaks by coordinating with custodians, internal teams, and counterparties.
- Provide timely and accurate responses to internal client and Portfolio Manager inquiries.
- Maintain complete and well-documented reconciliation files in accordance with internal standards and audit requirements.
- Escalate aged or complex issues to senior analysts or managers in line with established team procedures.
- Adhere to established SOX controls and documentation requirements.
- Support process updates by following evolving procedures and maintaining accurate documentation.
- Participate in cross-training initiatives to ensure continuity of service.
- Stay current on basic securities industry concepts and developments relevant to assigned portfolios.
