We are seeking a Research Technologist who will perform cutting-edge functional genomics research into the mechanisms of drug resistance in breast and gynecological cancer. Start date is negotiable and can range from May-July 2025. The laboratory is located within the Bloomberg School of Public Health and is dedicated to the study of therapeutic resistance in breast and gynecological cancer. Equally important to our mission is the training of the next generation of cancer researchers. Our goal is to lessen the public health burden of breast cancer through science. This position will have the opportunity to work on one or more of several projects available in the lab focusing on transcriptional control of resistance, therapeutic vulnerabilities of resistant cancer, new cancer model (PDX/PDO) development, and large-scale oncogene variant-to-function efforts. We are looking for candidates who work well with others, are enthusiastic to learn, highly organized, and motivated to contribute to the scientific and mentorship goals of the lab. Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Design and perform laboratory experiments as part of a collaborative scientific team.
  • Documenting, compiling, and analyzing experimental data accurately.
  • Participating in regular lab and small group meetings.
  • Reporting findings in oral and written formats, including manuscripts.
  • Maintaining and organizing the lab, including keeping track of supplies and reagents, ordering/stocking the lab and maintaining mice.


Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Chemistry or related field.
  • Additional education may substitute for required experience and additional related experience may substitute for required education beyond HS Diploma/Graduation Equivalent, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior research experience in a laboratory setting.
  • Some related post-undergraduate work experience.
  • Prior experience working with mice, microscopy and/or basic molecular biology is desirable.

Starting Salary Range: $15.70 - $26.25 HRLY ($41,600 targeted; Commensurate w/exp.)
