We are seeking a casual Research Technologist who will be responsible for an ongoing project investigating cardiovascular disease under the direct supervision of the faculty investigator.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and perform experiments and be responsible for general laboratory organization and upkeep in the cardiology laboratory.
  • Perform laboratory experiments by following common protocols or with instruction
  • Identify and resolve common problems involved in routine research assays.
  • Manage experiments from sample and reagent preparation to experimental testing and data collection.
  • Analyze data in terms of quality control and experimental diagnostics in preparation for statistical analysis.
  • Record sample information and results to guarantee quality of experimentation.
  • Track supply inventories and ensure availability of reagents and material.
  • Carry out routine equipment maintenance and upkeep.
  • Ensure laboratory efficiency by following protocols for lab cleanliness, organization and safety regulations.
  • May scientifically contribute to writing of manuscripts and grants.
  • Process analyzed data into figures for scientific publications.


Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Chemistry or related field.
  • Additional education may substitute for required experience and additional related experience may substitute for required education beyond HS Diploma/Graduation Equivalent, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in cardiac organoids.
