The Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology, is seeking a Research Program Coordinator to work with the Thrombotic Microangiopathies Research Group at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. The Research Program Coordinator will be primarily involved in basic data collection and management and coordination of study visits for several research projects related to thrombotic microangiopathy, specifically thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura. The coordinator will screen and recruit potential study participants according to the protocol's inclusion and exclusion criteria and will work under the supervision of the Principal Investigator and co-investigators.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist PI with data collection, entry, and management.
  • Assist PI with coordinating and conducting research visits
  • Collate and organize data for research manuscripts, prepare tables, figures, and references.
  • Format research manuscripts for submission to specific journals.
  • Perform basic data management and calculations using computerized database and spreadsheet software.
  • Review data for accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist with data cleaning and data quality review and control.
  • Maintain and organize study files.
  • Maintain confidential research records
  • Effectively prioritize and work on multiple tasks with concurrent deadlines and demonstrate excellent time management skills and efficiency.
  • Participate in team meetings.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline.
  • Additional related experience may substitute for required education, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.


Preferred Qualifications
  • One year of experience working with patients preferred.
  • Proficient in MS office applications, especially PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Basic knowledge of statistics and data analysis.

Starting Salary Range: $17.20 - $30.30 HRLY (Targeted $50,000.00; Commensurate with experience)
