Research Technologist

The Pederick laboratory is seeking a Research Technologist to join our lab in the Department of Neuroscience. Under the general supervision of a faculty investigator and laboratory members, the technologist will perform experiments and analysis involving mouse models to investigate the precise formation of neural circuits during brain development. Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct complex laboratory experiments and assays following established protocols.
- Perform molecular biology techniques and specialized immunohistochemistry.
- Analyze neural cell populations and types using advanced neuroanatomical methods.
- Assist with in vivo mouse experiments.
- Maintain laboratory inventory and order supplies.
- Support animal husbandry for the laboratory mouse colony.
- Contribute to general laboratory maintenance (up to 30% of role).
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Chemistry, or related field.
- Additional education may substitute for required experience, and additional related experience may substitute for required education beyond a High School Diploma/Graduation Equivalent, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background and proficiency in molecular and cell biology,
- Some related post-undergraduate work experience,

Starting Salary Range: $15.70-$26.25 HRLY (Targeted $40,000.00 Annually; Commensurate with experience)
