We are seeking a Research Technologist in the Tressler Lab to perform DoD-funded research studies in Dr. Tressler’s research laboratory at The Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions. The candidate will closely work with other members of the research team on several studies under the direction of the lab director Dr. Tressler.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform research studies in mass spectrometry imaging that include cryosectioning, various sample preparation, imaging, and histology staining.
  • Prepare reports about the obtained results using PowerPoint and Excel to present at lab meetings.
  • Interact and communicate with other members of the research team and other principal investigators.
  • Maintain the laboratory facilities, monitor inventory levels, and order materials and supplies.
  • Keep records of all experiments performed in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Chemistry or related field.
  • Additional education may substitute for required experience and additional related experience may substitute for required education beyond HS Diploma/Graduation Equivalent, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Some related post-undergraduate work experience.

Starting Salary Range: $15.70 - $26.25 HRLY ($40,000 targeted; Commensurate w/exp.)
