The Division of Pulmonary is seeking a casual Research Program Assistant to help with recruiting participants for Sarcoidosis research studies.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
- Input, organize, edit, and verify accuracy of data in databases.
- May assist with medical record abstractions, resolving data queries, development of educational materials, and faxing pharmacies and health care providers for primary outcome data.
- Understand the importance/impact of data integrity regarding honest reporting of sensitive and confidential patient information.
- Exercise good judgment, tact, and sensitivity at all times while working in a busy research environment.
- Work independently and under the direction of the research managers, coordinators, and data team to ensure successful completion of the research study.
- Tasks may vary based on specific research projects underway.
- Will be asked to undergo training to be able to assist with participant PHI data.
- This position will include direct patient interaction.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or graduation equivalent, with some college courses preferred.
- Some related experience.
- Additional education may substitute for required experience, and additional related experience may substitute for required education beyond a high school diploma/graduation equivalent, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks, detail oriented, self-motivated, strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to use personal computer; proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Database and spreadsheet knowledge a plus in Access or Redcap.
