We are seeking a Sr. Research Data Analyst who will build complex data models and conduct complex data analysis in support of research projects, programs, and/or studies. The Sr. Research Data Analyst is responsible for the coordination of data and data analysis activities across multiple studies. This position is responsible for leading a specific gene-environment interaction analytic project for our GEARS autism center of excellence.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage, and database of survey data from multi-site study.
  • Develop standard operating procedures for initial data entry and data updates.
  • Oversee quality control procedures for database and ongoing analysis.
  • Develop data models.
  • Conduct statistical analyses of data collected in this system to support empirical study.
  • Build transmission models.
  • Create and curate software tools across diverse programming languages in support of research efforts.
  • Other duties as assigned.

In Addition to the Duties Listed Above

  • Derive polygenic risk scores from large extant genome-wide genotyping datasets.
  • Clearly summarize and present findings at team meetings.
  • Prepare written reports of statistical analyses, including relevant statistical theory, references, methods, results, and conclusions, to contribute to scientific publications.
  • Collaborate with a network of scientists and staff to address research questions involving the analysis of genetic and environmental risk hypotheses.


Minimum Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in related field.
  • One-year of related experience.
  • Highly specialized advanced knowledge, education and/or training in a specialized field of study to conduct research.


Preferred Qualifications
  • PhD in a related field.
  • Genetic epidemiology or statistical genetics training and experience.
  • Experience performing analyses on a high-performance compute cluster, utilizing parallelization and multi-threading, and mastery of the R statistical language.
  • Experience in neurodevelopmental outcomes and prenatal exposures.
