We are seeking a Research Project Coordinator II to collaborate closely with the Program for Implementation and Equity Research in the Department of Epidemiology. The research portfolio includes domestic HIV implementation science studies funded by the NIH.

The Research Project Coordinator II will oversee the implementation of studies focused on housing and homelessness among youth, with particular attention to the use of direct cash transfers to prevent and address housing instability. Responsibilities include coordinating with community-based organization partners and ensuring the timely completion of project deliverables.

This position requires a deep commitment to advancing housing stability and equity for young people through evidence-based and community-informed research.

The Research Project Coordinator II administratively coordinates the research protocol implementation of a single complex study or multiple studies. Will ensure the efficient logistical implementation of the study activities and provide administrative support for all related issues.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all activities of a complex research study or multiple studies to ensure validity of findings.
  • Work with the Principal Investigator or senior research staff to develop operational plans to meet research goals.
  • Develop tools and procedures for data collection and study processes.
  • Collect and organize data per study requirements, e.g. participant interviews, administer questionnaires; conduct background research, laboratory processing, etc.
  • Ensure adherence to protocols and procedures.
  • Assist with setup of data collection system and enter and organize data.
  • Oversee record management for research study.
  • Oversee budget expenditures for study operations.
  • Assist in coordinating study meetings.
  • Participate in study meetings and provide updates on protocol implementation status and make recommendations on operational issues.
  • Conduct literature searches to provide background information.
  • Other duties as assigned.

In addition to the duties described above

  • Closely collaborate with PI on project implementation.
  • Develop and present findings through webinars, team meetings, and community forums.
  • Produce study reports for funders and stakeholders.


Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
  • One year of related experience.
  • Additional education may substitute for required experience and additional related experience may substitute for required education beyond a high school diploma/graduation equivalent, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Master’s degree in public health.
