Be part of J.P. Morgan's Corporate & Investment Bank as a Global Economic Research Associate. Utilize your analytical and programming skills to provide insights on global economic and policy events, and engage with clients through written publications and presentations.
The global economic research team within J.P. Morgan's Corporate & Investment Bank is hiring an associate in New York. This role involves data management, economic analysis, and report-writing, with a focus on global economic and business cycle trends. You will work closely with our country-coverage teams and interact with clients through written publications and in-person presentations.
Job responsibilities:
- Analyze global economic and business cycle trends in collaboration with country-coverage teams.
- Manage data and conduct economic analysis to support research efforts.
- Write and contribute to daily, weekly, and thematic reports on economic data and policy developments.
- Interact with country-level research teams in New York, London, Sao Paulo, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Singapore, Mexico City, and Sydney.
- Respond to internal and external client requests and occasionally present research findings to clients.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Strong analytic and programming skills.
- Proficiency with Excel and familiarity with basic statistical programming and econometrics.
- Excellent writing skills for conveying analysis to clients.
- General intellectual curiosity about global economic and policy events.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Experience in economic research or related fields.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a global team of economists.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
