We are seeking a reg reporting Analyst to join our Firmwide Regulatory Reporting & Analysis (FRRA) team. Our team is responsible for the design, implementation and execution of end-to-end processes supporting U.S. Regulatory Reporting including Consolidated, Treasury international capital/Derivative & deposit report and US State reportinhg, along with Regulatory Reporting training and regulatory exam management. Additionally, FRRA drives broader strategic initiatives across external reporting including accountability, error and issue management, manual adjustments, variance analysis, quality assurance and the target U.S. Regulatory Reporting platform.
As an External Reporting Controller – Analyst within the Firmwide Regulatory Reporting & Analysis team, your primary responsibilities will involve learning production and review of daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reports filed with various regulatory agencies. Cross training to be backiup and create resiliency for the team.
Job responsibilities
- End-to-end production of Treasury International Capital (TIC) Country Exposure & Product Reporting for JPMorgan Chase & Co. which is filed monthly, quarterly and annually with the Federal Reserve Bank.
- Schedule Owner, although it contains elements of both Schedule Preparation in terms of review/oversight and Report Owner responsibilities including instructional interpretation/policy interaction/report filing
- Responsible for continuing to enhance the controls and efficiency of financial reporting processes which may include the identification and resolution of issues/errors, tracking and resolution of data quality issues and implementing process improvements to reduce cycle time.
- Maintain familiarity with accounting pronouncements and disclosure requirements. Participate in firm wide project groups to implement changes in reporting requirements
- Work extended hours during peak periods including some weekends
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- 1+ years total relevant work experience in External Reporting (TIC/Derivative reporting/Reg Reporting)
- Demonstrable understanding of financial statements and financial disclosures required
- Bachelors Degree required
- Coordinate multiple aspects of the production and review of monthly, quarterly and annual reports filed with the FRB.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Comfortable working with large quantities of data, including strong reconciliation and process management experience
- Strong technical skills in Excel
- Strong analytical skills in interpretation of data and identification of anomalies
- Independent worker who is self-motivated; comfortable working independently in a dynamic and challenging environment
- Results-oriented / delivery focused; ability to deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills -
- Accounting or Finance degree preferred
- Accounting or banking industry experience preferred
- Familiarity with US Banking regulatory reporting requirements a plus
- Experience using data management & visualization tools in a reporting setting: AWS Databricks, Alteryx, SQL, Tableau, Visio, database experience
- Familiarity with JP Morgan’s Corporate Financial Architecture (SAP, Smartview, CDGL) a plus
- CPA / Big 4 Experience a plus
