As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Technology division as a part of the Finance Technology team, you will be a key member of an agile team, tasked with designing and delivering reliable, market-leading technology products that are secure, stable, and scalable. Your role involves implementing essential technology solutions across diverse technical domains to support the firm's business goals effectively.
Job responsibilities
- Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
- Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
- Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development
- Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems
- Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
- Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies
- Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
- Certified ServiceNow Developer and Implementation Specialist in one ITSM module is a must
- Hands on experience in ServiceNow configuration and administration, with a strong understanding of the platform and PaaS model, including integration solutions like SSO, SAML, SSL, Web Services, LDAP, JDBC, ODBC, REST, SCP, SFTP, and MID servers.
- Proficient in leveraging ServiceNow codeless technologies such as Flow Designer and Integration Hub.
- Experienced with CMDB and integration with external tools, as well as Service Portal, Request Catalog, and Automations across the ServiceNow platform.
- Skilled in ITSM modules including Orchestration, Service Mapping, Event Management, and Discovery, with software development experience in languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, and JS Libraries and Frameworks
- Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle along with proficiency in coding in one or more languages
- Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
- Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
- Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Implementation Specialist other modules good to have (ITOM, CSM, ITBM, HR)
- Knowledgeable in AI and ML capabilities, and web technologies like SOAP, JSON, XML, and Web Services.
- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies
- Exposure to cloud technologies
