As a Software Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Sector, you will serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You will be responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

Job responsibilities

  • Executes standard software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting
  • Writes secure and high-quality code using the syntax of at least one programming language with limited guidance
  • Designs, develops, codes, and troubleshoots with consideration of upstream and downstream systems and technical implications
  • Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain to improve the value realized by automation
  • Applies technical troubleshooting to break down solutions and solve technical problems of basic complexity
  • Gathers, analyzes, and draws conclusions from large, diverse data sets to identify problems and contribute to decision-making in service of secure, stable application development
  • Learns and applies system processes, methodologies, and skills for the development of secure, stable code and systems
  • Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience.
  • Experience in understanding of Confluence features and other Atlassian products. Experience in providing support and troubleshooting for atlassian tools. Developing, debugging, and maintaining the automation scripts of atlassian products code in a large corporate environment with java and database querying languages.
  • Experience in cloud technologies, particularly Amazon Web Services (AWS). Skilled in Terraform Enterprise (TFE) provisioning to automate and manage cloud infrastructure efficiently.
  • Proficiency in Java coding.
  • Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle. Ability to streamline and automate the software delivery pipeline.
  • Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
  • Proficiency in integrating with various systems and using APIs.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Exposure to cloud technologies, particularly AWS.
  • Basic understanding of AI technologies.
