Job Description

Join our Financial Reporting team and take the lead in assisting clients with their regulatory reporting obligations. Be at the forefront of delivering accurate and timely financial statements and tax returns, while driving process improvements and fostering a culture of zero error.

As a Team Lead in the ANZ Financial Reporting & Tax Financial Reporting team, you will be responsible for ensuring our clients meet their regulatory reporting obligations with respect to Accounting and Tax. You will lead the team in preparing reconciled trial balances, financial statements, and tax returns in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards. You will also coordinate with the Sydney Financial Reporting and Tax teams to address dependencies and issues, ensuring timely and accurate responses to queries. Your role will involve mentoring new joiners, conducting one-on-one coaching sessions, and leading projects to enhance processes and productivity.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Possess in-depth knowledge of all team processes and support preparers in the preparation of audit packs, tax returns, financial statements, and other deliverables.
  • Perform reviews/checks on deliverables and ensure they are signed off on strict timetables to meet client and auditor needs.
  • Prepare deliverables during capacity constraints and coordinate with Sydney Financial Reporting and Tax teams to resolve issues.
  • Respond to Sydney Financial Reporting and Tax queries timely and accurately, ensuring all client nuances are documented and applied.
  • Lead regular knowledge-sharing and learning activities to achieve the team's goal of zero error in all deliverables.
  • Drive process enhancements and productivity improvements, and lead projects related to these initiatives.
  • Conduct training for new joiners on team processes and regularly review and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Ensure compliance with mandatory and product-related training deadlines and conduct one-on-one sessions and coaching with team members.
  • Lead a committee within the team and ensure team members comply with all mandatory trainings and administrative tasks.


Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Must be a CA/CPA or Accounting Graduate with minimum 2 years of experience in finance, tax, or audit.
  • In-depth understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards (e.g., IFRS).
  • Exhibits leadership behaviors and strong decision-making skills.
  • Advanced analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, both oral and written.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Experience in the fund management industry in a tax or accounting role is highly regarded.

  • Shift Schedule: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM MNL Time
