Job Description

As an Associate in the APAC Chief Risk Office, you will support the Chief Risk Officers (CRO) and Legal Entity Risk Managers (LERM). As part of the team, which includes APAC Risk Control, Legal Entity Risk, and APAC Risk Regulatory Management, you will assist in executing innovation and technology integration by leveraging advanced data analytics, AI/ML models, and intelligent tools to enhance business processes and decision-making. Your role involves collaborating with various risk functions and engaging in Risk Regulatory Management tasks, working with other teams to provide analysis and insights. You will contribute to developing content for risk-related matters and leverage your technical skills to uplift processes and develop the business.

Job responsibilities

  • Execute innovation initiatives and business analysis efforts by leveraging the latest firmwide intelligent tools and technologies, gathering and defining business requirements, and conducting product validation, etc.
  • Participate in projects and initiatives impacting Risk Management (e.g. developing and implementing dashboards, automation solutions, and AI/ML models to enhance business processes and decision-making)
  • Provide insights on observed trends in regulatory activities across APAC and other regions
  • Identify opportunities and assist in the development, enhancement, and ongoing maintenance of Risk Regulatory Management tools and frameworks
  • Lead the production of comprehensive regulatory management information packs related to all risk regulatory activities
  • Track, monitor, and report on regulatory exams, engagements, developments, and implementation

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Information Technology, or Computer Science
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in risk management, compliance, finance, business or control management in the financial services industry
  • Proven experience in using data analytics and visualization tools like Alteryx, Qlik, and Tableau, along with an understanding of AI/ML concepts and familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs) to analyze data and generate insights in business settings
  • Excellent analytical skills to interpret large data sets and present findings concisely
  • Demonstrable influencing skills that foster a culture of change, excellence, and innovation by constructively challenging the status quo, cultivating a process improvement mindset, and developing project management competencies for agile implementation
  • Positive attitude and collaborative nature, delivering on high-priority, time-sensitive initiatives
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Extensive experience in data analytics and visualization using tools such as Alteryx, Qlik, and Tableau
  • Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic industry where adaptability and continuous learning are essential
