Job summary:
As an ABS Trading Analyst, you will play a crucial role in assisting Senior Traders with the valuation and trading of Asset-Backed Securities (ABS). Your work will involve developing analytical tools, managing daily tasks, and collaborating with various internal groups to ensure optimal trading execution.

Job responsibilities:

  • Proactively trade all ABS sectors to increase the firm’s market share and expand client outreach.
  • Formulate trade ideas for the firm and clients based on appropriate risk/reward parameters.
  • Size, understand, and manage risk in the portfolio commercially.
  • Consider risk, credit costs, and the market environment when pricing.
  • Manage client risk to minimize and capture client value efficiently.
  • Run risk with educated views on underlying markets to create added value.
  • Distill complex ideas or structures into meaningful communications.
  • Enhance the firm's reputation through expertise, professionalism, and maturity in verbal and written communications.
  • Build and leverage partnerships to deliver the whole firm to clients.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Ability to work well under pressure, pay close attention to detail, and demonstrate a high degree of initiative and commitment.
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
  • 1-3 years’ experience in trading.
  • Strong understanding of securitized products.
  • Strong computational skills in Excel, Python, and Intex.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Familiarity with modern front-end technologies and cloud technologies.
  • Ability to create a vision and actionable roadmap with a focus on ongoing innovation.
  • Ability to effectively maximize delivery of business goals and returns on investment.
