As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and Community Banking, you are an integral part of a team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Designing and deploying scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure and platforms using AWS Services.
- Working closely with development teams, architects, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
- Develop automation tools for efficient, noiseless alerting, toil, and technical debt.
- Analyzing and optimizing the performance of the platform to ensure resiliency, high availability, and responsiveness.
- Ensuring that the platform is secure by implementing best practices and security measures, such as access controls, encryption, and vulnerability assessments.
- Troubleshoot minor/major incidents and contribute to resolution through post-mortems.
- Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies
- Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
- Committed to continuous learning and improvement. Identify opportunities for improvement, explore new ideas, and methodologies that enhances our systems.
- Proficient in AWS and Kubernetes
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation
- Hands-on experience with cloud deployment, monitoring, and ops analysis tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace.
- Proficient in at least one software language (e.g. Python/GO)
- Expertise in application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
- Knowledge of AWS security best practices, including identity and access management, encryption, and network security.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Understanding of AWS AI and machine learning services like SageMaker, Rekognition.
