As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and Community Banking- JP Wealth Management, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

Job responsibilities

  • Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
  • Understand product requirements and functionality for Functional Testing.
  • Develop comprehensive scenarios and ensure data integrity for Contract and End-to-End (E2E) Testing.
  • Design, execute, and analyze Performance Testing.
  • Ensure new changes don't impact functionality through Regression Testing.
  • Create test plans and test cases by understanding product requirements in Test Planning.
  • Collaborate with product teams to define use cases and acceptance criteria during Requirement Analysis.
  • Identify and instrument test data.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
  • Utilizes AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch, EMR, and Step Functions.
  • Conducts API testing using Postman.
  • Executes complex SQL queries and performs data validation.
  • Performs performance testing using tools like JMeter and LoadRunner.
  • Manages data pipelines and ETL processes, including data extraction, transformation, and loading.
  • Conducts log analysis for troubleshooting and debugging.
  • Develops basic automation scripts using Python.
  • Analyzes data for trends and insights using visualization tools.
