As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorganChase within the Consumer & Community Banking, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Develop and maintain high-quality software solutions using Java, SpringBoot, Microservices, and React Micro frontends.
- Design and implement cloud-based applications on AWS, specifically utilizing AWS ECS.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment using DevOps practices.
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with designers, product owners, and back-end engineers to create user-friendly, visually appealing, and performance-optimized interfaces.
- Apply CI/CD and DevOps best practices to streamline build, test, and deployment processes.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and cross-browser compatibility.
- Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
- Proven expertise in Java, SpringBoot, Microservices, React Micro frontends, AWS ECS, and DevOps.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with individuals across the globe.
- Demonstrated experience in leading engineering teams and managing projects.
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, including tools like Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
- Understanding of SQL and Kafka.
- Experience in working with diverse teams and contributing to an inclusive work environment.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and practices.
- Understanding of AI principles with practical experience in incorporating AI-driven solutions into user interfaces.
- Experience collaborating in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Positive attitude and enthusiasm for working in a multicultural environment.
- Open-mindedness and adaptability to different perspectives and ideas
