Job Description
Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and growing team in a fast paced and challenging area? This is a unique opportunity for you to work in the Data Analytics team to partner with the Business.
As a Data Analytics Specialist within our team, you will leverage your expertise in SQL, Alteryx, and Tableau to derive meaningful insights from complex datasets. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand their data challenges and provide solutions. You will be responsible for extracting data from diverse sources, integrating them, and generating actionable insights. Additionally, you will act as a product owner in setting up data infrastructure for reporting and collaborate within a Scrum team.
Job responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret complex datasets using SQL and Alteryx to uncover insights and trends.
- Create tactical dashboards on Tableau if demands are such.
- Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Extract, transform, and integrate data from disparate sources to create comprehensive datasets for analysis.
- Develop and maintain analytical models and reports that provide actionable insights to business stakeholders.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity through rigorous validation and testing processes.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to support business decision-making.
- Manage stakeholder relationships effectively, ensuring their data needs are met and expectations are aligned.
- Act as a product owner in setting up and enhancing data infrastructure for reporting purposes.
- Participate actively in a Scrum team to contribute to project goals and deliverables.
- Work with data engineers and IT teams to ensure seamless data integration and availability and troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in data analytics, with a strong proficiency in SQL and Alteryx.
- Experience with Tableau for data visualization and reporting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and manage stakeholders.
- Experience working within a Scrum team.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Experience with other data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, QlikView) is a plus.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and data modeling is a plus.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or R.
- Certification in data analytics or related fields.
