Job Summary


As a DevOps Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer & Community Banking Risk division, you will play a pivotal leadership role in maintaining the operational stability, availability, and performance of our production services. Your responsibilities will include identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving issues to guarantee a seamless user experience.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide end-to-end application and infrastructure service delivery for successful business operations.
  • Execute policies and procedures ensuring engineering and operational stability.
  • Monitor production environments for anomalies and address issues using standard observability tools.
  • Escalate and communicate issues and solutions to business and technology stakeholders.
  • Lead incident, problem, and change management in support of full stack technology systems.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience.
  • Proficiency on AWS Cloud Platform, with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code tools, such as Terraform and Helm chart.
  • Experience in designing, deploying, and managing Kubernetes clusters across various environments.
  • Experience in Kubernetes, Terraform, Python, and Shell scripting technologies.
  • Experience with Continuous Integration and Delivery tools like Jenkins.
  • Ability to set up monitoring, logging, and alerting for Kubernetes clusters using Grafana, Prometheus, and Splunk.
  • Strong SQL skills; PostgreSQL, AWS RDS, Aurora, Teradata is preferred but experience in any other RDBMS technology would suffice.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Having Databricks knowledge is an added advantage.
  • Ability to lead by example and guide the team with technical expertise.
  • Ability to identify risks/issues for the project and manage them accordingly.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL, AWS RDS, Aurora, or Teradata preferred.
