Job Description

Driving excellence in index and benchmark data management to empower Asset & Wealth Management with reliable, high-quality market insights.

Job Summary

As an Index and Benchmark Data Specialist within Reference Data Management Operations (RDMO), you will ensure the availability and quality of index and benchmark data across Asset & Wealth Management. You will act as a subject matter expert, supporting onboarding, exception management, and regulatory adherence for index and benchmark processes. Your role will involve collaborating with business groups, vendors, and technology teams to deliver robust data solutions and operational efficiencies.

Job Responsibilities

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on all aspects of the index and benchmark process.
  • Coordinate and validate new index requirements, including licensing, vendor engagement, and onboarding approvals.
  • Support the onboarding of new indices by managing license agreements, renewals, and cancellations.
  • Investigate and resolve user queries and exceptions related to index and benchmark data, performing root cause analysis and implementing controls.
  • Liaise with index producers, vendors, and internal teams to validate and resolve data issues.
  • Continuously review license usage and procedures to drive cost savings and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Build strong relationships with product managers, technology, business teams, and external vendors to support data quality and operational goals.

Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in finance, consulting, or technology, with at least 3 years in asset and wealth management products and processes.
  • Proven ability to manage teams of 5 or more individuals and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong technical proficiency with Microsoft products and advanced Excel skills, along with experience using market vendor terminals such as Bloomberg, FactSet, and Reuters.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, analytical, and reasoning skills, with a proactive approach to issue resolution and process improvement.

Preferred Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities

  • Previous experience in asset management, fund accounting, hedge funds, or market data vendors.

  • Advanced PowerPoint skills and familiarity with index processing.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships across globally distributed teams and present key findings succinctly to management.
  • Awareness of data-related industry regulatory requirements, emerging trends, and a strong commitment to continuous learning and adaptability.
